“ We have been visiting from out of town and were looking for a nice roast meal so decided to try here. We found a little gem here in Brissy and will definitely be back. The roast chicken and veg was devine. The home made gravy and Yorkshire pudding just topped the meal off. My friends had the fish and chips and it was beautiful and not greasy. We will definitely be back as we are here for work for another 5 weeks. The staff were friendly and accommodating also. ”
“ Was looking for a great Sunday roast, and bloody well found it! The best I’ve ever had in Australia. Live music with Steve was excellent, lovely vibe for a Sunday arvo. Was made to feel oddly unwelcome by the chap greeting us, but it was very busy so I’ll let him off. Other staff were great and the roast really was exceptional ”
“ We had a very nice Sunday Roast at the Rose & Crown. Only comment is that the portion could have perhaps been a little bigger, roasties a little crispier and cauliflower cheese a bit cheesier! Otherwise delicious. We also ordered a sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Unfortunately as the kitchen was closing it had been sat out for a while so the ice cream was very melted but the pudding was cold. Overall enjoyed, just a shame about the dessert. ”
“ Roast lamb and beef were amazing!!!! With proper roast potatoes n massive yorkshires…..as well as sprouts! (Thank you for adding them to your veg) staff and service were on point n atmosphere was inviting will definitely be back…..compliments to the chef also. ”
“ Great birthday meal at the Rose and Crown, great food and a decent pint of Guinness. Greeted by an Englishman, served by an Englishman and presumably cooked for by an Englishman. Best Roast I’ve had since moving here. Feels just like home. ”
“ Great location with beautiful decor. We loved the atmosphere and the staff were all fantastic. We had the Sunday roast and it’s up there with the best I’ve ever had! Not only do I recommend it but I’ll be back. Also try the scotch eggs. ”
“ Traditional Easter Sunday roast lunch with Yorkshire pudding was absolutley 10/10 My only complaint is I couldn’t fit in sticky toffee pudding after it! Was so good, staff were good too. Great building and location ”
“ Had a cracking time on a Sunday here. The place was heaving with British and Irish Lions supporters. They were in full voice singing along to live musician - great atmosphere. The staff were doing a fantastic job especially considering how busy it was. Special shout out to Big Charlie - super friendly and efficient, the epitome of hospitality! The roasts looked delicious and I had a mushroom rarebit dish that was really tasty. ”
